2006 U10-U12-U14 Singles Only Tournament

This was a “Fun Event” for Novice Players with a “Play All Day” format
i.e. every player was involved to the very end!!

When:
Wednesday, December 27, 2006

Where:
Chinese Cultural Centre - 5183 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough (see map below)
One block east of Markham Road, on the south side of Sheppard Ave, East.

Time:
9:30 am Registration, 10:00 am Start and finished by 6:00 pm

Any / All U10-U12-U14 Players were welcome if eligible. i.e. if they were born in 1993 or later.
This tournament was designed for entry-level beginners and novice players only and not for players that have participated in High Performance Junior tournaments.

All players were likely to play up to 10 matches.
Matches were only one game and were usually only 11 points with rallying point scoring.
Players would not be divided by gender or age, only by ability.

Participants were placed in pools, and they moved up and down from pool to pool and in a “round robins” as well as a “waterfall” format. Therefore, all players were still involved in the tournament at 5:30 am. The tournament finished at 6:00 pm.

Participants checked in by 9:30 am, play started at 10:00 am.
Their clothing was white or solid colours.

All participants received a certificate and chocolate bars!!
